The Whale-Sized! investigation lets students actually measure the length of a baby blue whale using string, yarn, masking tape, a yardstick, or measuring tape and then record their observations.
The Small Link, Big Chain craftivity connects directly to the story's message about small creatures working together to accomplish something big. Students create individual links showing how they help their class, which can then be assembled into a collaborative class display.
