This Clock Partners & Personal Synectics Activity combines an engaging partner assignment system with a creative getting-to-know-you writing activity that encourages students to think beyond surface-level introductions.

Students begin by creating their Clock Partners, scheduling appointments with different classmates at each hour on the clock. Then, using the Personal Synectics activity, partners discuss and explain creative comparisons such as, "Are you more like May or December?" or "Are you more like a hammer or a nail?" Students justify their choices with thoughtful explanations, making each conversation unique while helping classmates learn about one another in a fun and memorable way.
