Cowboys & Disco Roll & Remove | 4th of July-Themed Addition Game
Add some cheer to your math block with this 4th of July Cowboys & Disco Roll & Remove Game—a hands-on, high-engagement activity that strengthens early addition skills using dice, number recognition, and playful game strategy!
Students line up disco balls beneath numbered cowboy cards. They then take turns rolling two dice, adding the dots, and finding the cowboy with the matching sum. When they find the correct number, they remove one disco ball from under that cowboy.
Play continues until all disco balls have been removed! Students LOVE resetting the disco balls and playing again, making this an ideal open-ended math center for summer.
