Watermelon Roll & Remove | Fruit-Themed Addition Game

Add some cheer to your math block with this Watermelon Roll & Remove Game—a hands-on, high-engagement activity that strengthens early addition skills using dice, number recognition, and playful game strategy!

Students line up the watermelon slices beneath numbered watermelon cards. They then take turns rolling two dice, adding the dots, and finding the watermelon with the matching sum. When they find the correct number, they remove one watermelon slices from under that watermelon.

Play continues until all watermelon slices have been removed! Students LOVE resetting the watermelon slices and playing again, making this an ideal open-ended math center.
